3-D Needle Felted Mushroom with Jan Vincent *New 2024

This workshop is for beginners and those looking to build on their existing skills in needle felting.  We will be making a 3D picture of Fly Agaric mushrooms, using core wool to build up the stems and caps to achieve a firm base on which to add coloured wool. There will be additional mushrooms to add to your picture or you have the option of creating a second piece.
We will also look at several ways of creating realistic mushroom arrangements using thread, glue and fabric. Mushrooms come in various shapes and colours and are fun to make in wool and can become quite addictive.
First we will begin by transferring the pattern to the felt either using a heat transfer pen or the gel pen method..We will then look at how to build up the core wool to make a firm 3D structure before applying coloured wool.
We will also look at the various ways to create gill formation which can be messy but fun.
