Fun, quirky and inspirational (and thats Dot!)  A gem of a machine embroidery workshop suitable for those fairly new to free machine embroidery as well as more experienced sewers.

Description

A great variety of techniques and approaches to enjoy in this one day machine embroidery workshop.
Net, beads, painted paper and ribbon are used to create a contemporary three dimensional composition which can be mounted in a box frame.
 Highly decorated circles form the basis of the overall design but there are lots of creative possibilities enabling you to develop a unique piece.
The method of mounting and framing will also be demonstrated.

Requirements:

£4.00 for materials
Sewing machine and free motion foot
Embroidery hoop approx 18cms diameter
Ruler
Pencil
Small paintbrush
Dynaflo fabric paints if you have them
Any seed beads or bugle beads you have
Beading needle or fine crewel needle if you find beading needle to tricky to thread
Embroidery scissors
Machine embroidery thread. Ideally both metallic and fluorescent. Just 1 or 2 colours of each

Tutor Brings:

Net
Rag paper
Sheer ribbon
Some dynaflo fabric paint will be available
A selection of seed beads and bugle beads will be available
Some free machine threads will be available (metallic and fluorescent)
Small felt balls
Fabric glue
Foam board and mount board for demonstration
