A fantastic opportunity to work with artist Sylvia Paul on this hugely inspiring paint and collage course – can’t wait!


A two day workshop that will inspire you to try something new. Sylvia has been using collage in her paintings for many of her 40 years as a professional artist. She will demonstrate her technique for using a variety of papers with acrylic paint and you will have the opportunity to experiment with her alongside you.
The days will start with a demonstration which will give you lots of hints and tips of how to proceed with creating your own collage painting.
The subject will be your choice so please come with ideas, sketches or photos to work from. For inspiration please visit Sylvia’s website

Artist stretched canvases (come prepared to do more than one painting so a few no more than 30cm.
Acrylic paints
Greaseproof paper for palette
Water pot
Kitchen roll
PVA glue
Glue pot
Various papers (start collecting some interesting papers old maps, old sheet music, magazines, wrapping paper, decorative papers, tissue, handmade and textured paper, wall paper samples, tickets, stamps, discarded paintings or print making experiments)
The aim of the workshop is for you to experiment and to create something personal so your collection of papers is a good start.
