21st Sept Batik Books, 22nd Sept: Batik Seedpods on Fabric.
The artist John Piper created beautiful images of the English landscape and architecture. These will be the inspiration to create batiks on tissue using Jenny’s contemporary interpretation of a traditional technique.Working with hot wax, bleach and inks to make individual pieces of work. No experience is necessary as the technique will be taught from scratch.

Most materials provided, just bring an apron, hairdryer, gloves and images for inspiration from John Piper‘s work and architecture/ruins, also interesting papers such as old book pages, music scores, handmade paper.
