A fabulous opportunity to spend the day at Elm Farm Studio creating your own free standing embroidered bowl made entirely from silk and machine stitch.

A fabulous opportunity to spend the day creating your own free standing embroidered bowl.  Through the process we will explore the different water-soluble products on the market and their appropriate uses, utilise the automatic decorative stitches and design your own motifs. The day involves intensive free- machine embroidery but your patience will be rewarded with beautiful results. The day is perfect for those new to free machine embroidery and for those wanting to explore 3-d Textiles further with water soluble fabric and stitch. You will just need a machine with drop feed mechanism and you will be supplied materials on the day.  All the bowls pictured here are by members of Stitchers Inc made for their last exhibition at Barleylands.
