The garment you wish to copy,

A roll of poster paper (the Range sell this) or if you prefer you can use spot and cross pattern cutting paper,

Brilliant course with a brilliant and very patient tutor. Amanda is full of knowledge and allows you to go at your own pace, with a little bit of persuasion to go ‘that one step further’, while explaining why you should. I can recommend this course to anyone, whether they be an ‘old hand’ at dressmaking or completely new to it all. Superb!

Absolutely brilliant! Amanda is extraordinarily talented, so very patient and utterly lovely. Some of my fellow students had large, complicated pieces to work on, but I had several things for which I needed guidance and instruction. One was to grade up a Dressmaking pattern to a bigger size, which was very successful and I then wore my garment with pride to a later session. Another project for me was to make trousers for the first time. My third project was to construct a tunic based on an existing garment.
Although we all had our own projects and goals, everyone on the course benefitted not only from the knowledge and excellent teaching of Amanda, but also from mutual support of each other. There was also much swapping of ideas and information such as good tools and fabrics, and where to resource them. I have signed up again for the next course as I wish to build upon the knowledge gained this time around.
