If you love colour and flowers you will enjoy this workshop with Dot Ronaldson. It is a great way of improving your free machine and hand embroidery skills while improving your observation and depiction of flower and foliage forms.

Bleeding tissue and rag paper are used to create colourful backgrounds. There is an element of serendipity involved in that the shapes and delightful colour and shade effects that emerge are used as the basis for your design which can be quite stylised or more realistic. You will be given guidance and shown lots of examples to help you develop a working drawing. Free machine embroidery and a range of hand embroidery stitches will then be demonstrated enabling you to realise your flower and foliage picture.
