Stitched Songbirds / Chameleon with Nikki Parmenter – *New 2023

Birds: In this workshop you will produce a beautiful hand stitched Indonesian Songbird….or maybe two………using vibrant embroidery threads. Your bird will be placed in a 10 inch wire ring and will be surrounded by exotic flora and fauna which will be cut from funky foam and painted with acrylics.

Chameleon: Make a fabulous mixed media chameleon using plastics, cellophane, fabrics, acrylics and free machine embroidery. You will trace the design out on to PVC and then create a plastic entrapment piece which will be free machine embroidered, hand stitched and embellished.

Your chameleon will be presented on a patterned background made by stitching and painting on to a commercially printed piece of fabric. You will also make a branch, leaves and flowers using plastics, tubing and funky foam.
