StitchUp sessions are from 9.45am – 1pm. The idea behind StitchUp is to provide a hub where students can come and complete any unfinished work under my guidance with like-minded people or try a taster machine embroidery session where I can set you up with a mini project and work with you using the free motion foot.

Description

StitchUp! sessions are designed to give you an opportunity to receive  feedback/critique on an ongoing project and to work with others for a morning away from all the other chores and demands life throws at us! If you have a piece of work or a project that has been looking at you for a while but you feel a little stuck – I and the rest of the group will help you unstick and learn to love it again!  If you are new to machine embroidery I can offer you a taster session and get you up and running with the free motion foot and the various stitch effects available to you.  StitchUp has been set up upon request of students and I’m really excited that this is being trialled.  I have put in three initial dates – and if it goes well and there is demand I will roll them out monthly through the year. There are limited spaces but email me to register your interest as I will put more sessions on if I know the demand is there.

Brilliant first session at stitch up. You can either take along a piece of work you want to finish, I took my large Heron applique panel as needed some guidance re colours from Alex. Other ladies did mini projects so great to learn new skills too. Lovely social event with friendly like minded ladies. Was nice to see other people’s work and share ideas. Looking forward to February stitch up. Thanks for all your advice Alex. x
