£120

This machine embroidery workshop incorporates many mixed media techniques which when combined produce an ornate and intricate 3-d Artwork.  Contact me for future dates.

Description

The beauty of this project is that you do not need to work from a design as I use stamps and printing blocks as a starting point – and allow the design to grow naturally from these images. Of course you can take the techniques and materials used further in your own work at home and incorporate your own designed motifs. Techniques inc gilding, foiling, printing and embossing before machine stitching the components and bringing together as one design ready to be soldered.

Loved this workshop! I was able to learn new techniques as well as revisiting skills learned with Alex previously. It was great to see how differently each piece turned out from the same basic materials – I’m inspired to do more! Highly recommend this workshop. Thank you Alex for all your help
