I thought it useful to list some of the workshops in early 2020 with availability. Each mentioned are listed on the website under workshops but do contact me for more information.
Bag Workshops / Dressmaking with Amanda Walker :
We are extremely lucky to have such a talented dressmaker teaching these skills here. Amanda has a couple of spaces left on her forth coming dressmaking workshop in January – suitable for beginners and the more experienced; she will work with you on your own project. The garments that have been produced on this course this year have been amazing and I will ask some of the ladies to bring finished items in to be photographed as this is their last week of the current course.
Gaye Parker is back very soon bringing with her fab Mad March Hare’s. They have proved hugely popular and I can offer two more dates in 2020 – one in July and the second in September. Its a two day workshop – she ensures you go home with a hare complete with felt jacket and scarf.
Jane Marshall is about to commence her first longer Modern Patchwork and Quilting course here – she is full this side of Christmas but there are still spaces in January. It is a three day course spaced over four weeks on a Wednesday and is suitable for beginners and more experienced in quilting. A great way to gain confidence with your machine too.
Ella Johnston’s Illustration workshops have just got better and better and she has worked hard in putting together a series of new workshops for Elm Farm, both half day and full days – the first of which, Botanicals and decorative bugs, are now available to book here . . Even if you consider yourself an absolute novice – Ella ensures she finds the inner artist in everyone and the days are great fun.
Fenella Miller is back for two dates with her new fused glass workshop – creating a modern plate or art piece that can be mounted on the wall. Very abstract and colourful she will teach participants to use both opaque and transparent glass to great effect.
And finally…Thank you to everyone for making StitchUP such a success – I aim to put March and April’s 2020 dates online very soon. These morning sessions are a great introduction to machine embroidery – as I can give you a mini free motion project to start you off. It is also aimed at those wishing to hide away and complete any unfinished projects without those annoying everyday distractions!
Thats it for now …I think next year is pretty much full to the brim. Hopefully there will be something on there that ticks your box – and if you do spot one and its full – email me to be put on the waiting list. Last minute places come up all the time as we book so far ahead xx
Hi Alex
Just a quick note to say I have just completed “pebbles in a box” project and am thrilled with the result.
This was a beautifully presented box of delightful fabrics and good clear instructions which made this project a sheer joy to complete ! And I have loads of fabric left to make at least one more pebble piece
