‘Soldered Cards ‘ – A Home Delivered Machine Embroidery Project in a Box

Description

I love layering and manipulating fabrics and enjoy the exploration of both colour and textural qualities of all kinds of materials. This project box allows you to explore both, and you will achieve three highly textural and ornate pieces  for cards or pictures, with stitch and a soldering tool.

Reverse Applique is great fun and you can work with natural fabrics by simply stitching layers and then cutting back but in this case,  I have taken the technique and use the soldering tool with synthetic material to cut back, reveal and create completely new and ornate fabrics.

This workshop is designed for beginners who are looking to build their confidence as well as those more confident using the free machine embroidery foot/ darning foot.

Alongside the set of instructions and all the materials I am happy to answer any questions on the telephone whilst you work through the project, just drop me an email.

All you need is your machine with the facility to drop feed ,your free motion foot and a craft soldering tool such as one from Margaret Beale. We will be working with commercially printed fabrics so your chosen design will provide a guide for which you can ‘trace with the needle’.  Everything you need to create three large samples  will be sent with the box alongside step by step instructions and cards.

Note – It is not advised to order this project if you are asthmatic or suffer with breathing difficulties.

The fabrics you receive will be in a variety of different colourways. Each piece is approx 7″x10″ inch.

Please allow two weeks for your box to be delivered. The first five boxes will be posted for 1st March 2023.
