Description

A two day workshop enabling you to create two delicate and ethereal landscape compositions using collage and hand-stitch techniques. You will also create a collection of painted fabrics to include in your landscapes and to take home for further collage creativity.

Day one:

Painting mainly silk, satin and muslin fabrics

Studying and analysing landscape image make up, proportions, perspective and colour combinations

Development of composition one collage

Hand stitch to composition one

Plenary to consider progress and composition two ideas

Day Two :

Review composition one

Development of composition two (Additional collage fabrics can be prepared if required )

Hand-stitch

Mounting and framing discussion

Times:	10-4pm

Requirements:

You need to bring :

£5 on the day for materials.

Your Lunch

Selection of crewel needles and milliners needles

Fabric and thread cutting scissors

Ruler and pencil

Any landscape inspiration. Simple landscape images. (Not essential to bring )

Any stranded thread or fine perle thread you would like to use ( again not essential )
