Description
A day of festive fun. A fabric collage is created using space dyed velvet, Nuno felt, metallic fabric and lace. *Free machine embroidery is used to embellish. Trinkets and beads can be added. A wire frame is created and the collage is attached. The piece is then backed with felt. A vintage wooden bobbin is used to create the stand for your piece. You will be able to create two trees in the workshop.
* This workshop is perfect for beginners in Free Motion Embroidery or you may choose to do all in Hand-Stitch
Requirements:
- Lunch
- £5 for materials
- Space dyed velvet can be purchased from Alex’s Shop or you may have some in your stash.
- Wooden bobbins. You may have these if not try Etsy.
- Your sewing machine and free motion foot
- Machine embroidery threads including metallic if you wish *
- Any beads or trinkets you want to include *
- Fabric and thread cutting scissors
- Needles for beading ( A small crewel needle is easier to thread than a beading needle )
