Description
This workshop is for those looking to build on their existing skills or an enthusiastic beginner. We will be making an 8in 20 cm 3D fox using Corriedale slivers (wool) and carded wool. You will also make our own glass eyes. Please remember that felting is a forgiving craft and mistakes can be easily removed it is mindful and enjoyable and addictive.
We will begin by making the eyes then the shapes for the fox following a supplied template. We will then assemble the shapes together to form the basis of the body and head before adding the eyes and coloured carded wool. Work will commence on building the head and body before making a flat felt piece for the ears and adding a big fluffy tail. Finally the fox will be ‘fluffed’ using a reverse felting needle and whiskers added.
*Jan will supply all wool, felt, needles, eyes, pipe cleaners for front legs and tail and a foam block if required.
