A ‘grey’ or ‘tawny’ owl – your choice!
This workshop is for those looking to build on their existing skills or an enthusiastic beginner. For this project we will be using a felt tumble dyer ball and beads – plain beads will be supplied, but please bring your own selection too !
*Jan will supply all wool, dryer ball, needles, flat felt and a felting block if required. Please see requirements tab for full list.
We will begin by making an oval shape for the head from core wool along with eyes and beak using simple shapes which will be attached to the tumble dryer ball. The wings and tail will be made from flat felt covered with wool fibre and embellished with pattern and beads.
The owl can be free standing or as a hanging ornament.
