‘Hand Stitched Trees with a Twist’ with J Robinson*New 2026

£65

Description

Trees surround us in our landscape. Full of shape, texture and colour, each one different.
The trees are created using a pulled thread technique, dividing the warp from the weft (lengthwise from the crosswise) of the linen and then reconstructed with hand embroidery threads. Further embellishment with embroidery stitches gives the tree its character and texture. At the end of the day, you will have a collection of tree trunks that are three dimensional and be able to stitch a combination of two of three stitches to embellish with leaf foliage. Your piece will be approximately 5 inches square that can be mounted into a deep frame.
This workshop is suitable for all with little as well as the more experienced hand stitcher.
