“Parrot Paradise” is back for 2027 with a brand new parrot image! And welcome to “Night Owl,” an ambitious 25 inch wide stitched piece!
Create a bold, colourful bird image incorporating mixed media. You can choose from free machine embroidery, hand stitching or a combination of both. Will you make a single bird or a whole flock? Select from a wide variety of bird stencils ranging from owls, parrots and songbirds. Your birds will be made using either fused fabric, PVC or an oil pastel transfer, then painted and stitched.
Your finished piece might be a small scale, detailed panel with flora and fauna as a background. Perhaps your birds will be perching on branches inspired by Klimt’s “Tree of Life” or displayed against a tropical jungle background. You may use patterned fabrics to provide a floral background for your piece. Be ambitious!
