‘Bonded Hydrangeas’ Machine Embroidery at Sentinel Gallery, Wivenhoe

£80

Learn how to incorporate real flowers and foliage into textile art and create a machine embroidered panel with plenty of textural free motion stitch techniques.

Description

Discover how to trap real flowers and leaves in your textile work with the innovative use of Bondaweb combined with free machine embroidery on silk.  I cover several machine embroidery stitches which complement the flowers and ferns beautifully – all you have to do is provide the threads and hydrangea petals – the bigger the better!

We will make up a sample first and then once you are comfortable with the technique we will move onto composition and stitching . The outcome will be stitched panel which will last for years.

Suitable for confident beginners in Free machine embroidery. See requirements list.
