Create your very own felted Christmas Robin perched on a vintage cup with maker Jan Vincent.

Description

This workshop is for those looking to build on their existing skills or an enthusiastic beginner.  We will be making a 3D Robin using various techniques using wire, stiff felt and wool.  Please remember that felting is a forgiving craft and mistakes can be easily removed it is mindful and enjoyable.
We will begin by making the legs from wire, embroidery thread and PVA glue . We will then make wings and tail from stiff felt, flat felt and wool. The body shape is made from core wool and coloured carded wool. Glass eyes will then be attached along with the beak, wings and tail and finally the legs will be added.
Tutor supplies all wool, felt, needles, eyes, beak and wire and a foam block if required. Please Bring:

Embroidery silk in dark brown wound onto a peg or card for ease of use.
Small wire cutters, round nose pliers and flat nose pliers
Straight pins
Small iron – if you have one.
Frixon pen – purchased from Amazon, Asda..
Lid for glue and a small old paintbrush
A favourite vintage cup and saucer if you have one.
