Description
This creative 1-day colour-blending workshop allows participants to gain an excellent understanding of the principles of hand-weaving, whilst covering a range of colour-blending techniques to produce truly stunning effects.
We will be working with an A3-size beech-wood frame loom, which comes with a rotating heddle bar, weaving with several strands of fine merino yarn, which will be available in a beautiful range of colours.
You will learn how to weave multicolour gradients using a splicing technique to subtly blend tonal colours and hues into beautiful gradations and graphic effects. For those wishing to develop their ideas further we will also explore colour through the use of woven structures and blocks.
All tools and materials are provided. A pack of 4 balls of different coloured wool will be provided by Pam for £10.00. If you wish to purchase any further balls you can do at the end of the day.
You will have the option to purchase your weaving loom kit and any additional materials at a special rate at the end of the workshop.
