Description
A workshop enabling you to capture the beauty of an English Country garden in paint and hand-stitch.
A number of techniques are employed:
Painting silk (and the use of gutta as a resist technique)
Fabric collage composition using the silk painted by you plus I will bring a selection to add to the mix. Lace can be included if desired.
A range of hand stitches to create texture. The hand stitches include: running stitch, french knots, bullion knots, feather stitch, fly stitch, casting on stitch, trellis stitch and chain stitch.
How to mount and frame your composition will also be covered on the day.
This workshop is suitable for beginners to hand embroidery and those with experience
