So excited to welcome Jan Vincent back with two Christmassy workshops – this Fabulous Father Christmas decoration and her Felt Robin for 2024.

Description

This workshop is for those looking to build on their existing skills or an enthusiastic beginner.  We will be making a Father Christmas decoration using various techniques using wire, and wool.  A fun Christmas project that is quite addictive felting is a forgiving craft and mistakes can be easily removed it is mindful and enjoyable.
We will begin by making a wire and pipe cleaner frame covered  with core wool. We will build up a firm structure and cover with coloured wool. The face may look daunting but it isn’t. It is put together by making basic shapes. Glass eyes will then be attached along with his wonderful beard using wool locks.

  • Materials pack and patterns Supplied for £12.00 payable to tutor on the day
  • Foam block (if required ) £3.00
  • Your Lunch
Please bring with you the following:
  • Small sharp scissors
  • Finger protectors
  • Small wire cutters
  • Straight pins
  • Lid for glue and a small old paintbrush
  • Blusher or a soft pink pastel for cheeks
  • Thin ribbon for hanging – I have red
  • Any embellishments you may want to add
