Felted Kingfisher with Jan Vincent *New 2025

This workshop is for those looking to build on their existing skills or an enthusiastic beginner.  We will be making a raised 2D kingfisher picture using carded wool and merino tops, he has a glass eye and indiviual  feathers.  Please, as always, remember that felting is a forgiving craft and mistakes can be easily rectified it is mindful, enjoyable and addictive.

We will begin by making, marking and drawing the shape of the bird and log shapes following a supplied template. We will then build up the body, head and log using core wool. Then the fun begins gluing in the eye and felting the kingfisher with a beautiful range of blues, turquoise , orange and reds carded wool.

I will supply all wool, felt (I have used linen for my sample if you want to use linen please supply your own), needles, eye and a foam block if required
