Description
Felt making is an ancient craft which is practised all over the world and is one of Caroline’s most popular hands-on, beginner friendly workshops. With an extra twist for 2026 you too can learn how to create your very own three dimensional felted piece with expert guidance on shaping, sculpting and detailing techniques. The afternoon will be spent exploring the art of botanical hand embroidery with stitches such as fern, seed, daisy and stem stitch will finalise your vibrant wildflower felted hoop design.
Slow stitching is a calming, meditative hand-sewing practice that emphasises the process over the final product, focusing on simple, repetitive motions to reduce stress and increase presence. Creating your very own dried flower posy and couching your own vellum butterfly 🦋 involves layering coloured batting and using hand embroidery, often without a pattern, allowing for imperfection and creative freedom.
