‘Monoprinting Magic’ with Mary Mcintosh *2026

Description

Morning – collecting leaves and monoprinting onto semi-transparent fabric. Colouring with paints and inks. Range of colourways.

Afternoon – using our printed fabrics to stitch using the contemporary Pojagi piecing method.

The outcome will be a unique double sided semi-transparent panel ideal to hang in a window or against a pale wall. The size can be adapted to fit your space.

*Please see Requirements list. Mary will provide the acrylic inks and the white and coloured cotton organdie fabric for £15.00 payable on the day.

Requirements :

  • Your lunch
  • A4* gelliplate or laminated A4 sheet or OHP acetate
  • Padded surface – old sheet or towel
  • Brayer
  • Acrylic paints in your chosen colours plus black
  • Small spray bottle
  • A4 copier paper – approx. 20 sheets
  • Old iron
  • Sewing machine in good working order
  • Variety of machine threads in your chosen colourway
  • Cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter
  • Usual sewing kit – pins, scissors
