‘Paint Print & Stitch’ – A Machine Embroidery Workshop *2025

£68

Create two painted floral/ seed head wall panel compositions using a variety of paints and stamps. Free machine embroidery, sheers and cords further define and embellish. A great project for gaining confidence using the darning/free machine embroidery foot in textile art.

Description

Participants will create two seed head panels simultaneously; one on silk, the other on calico, using textile paints and acrylics. The morning will be spent building up backgrounds on which to use commercial Indian stamps and your own stamps created on the day. You will then choose which panel to stitch into – using your your free motion foot. Participants will also use sheers and cords to add depth and texture to the panel.  The other panel can be completed at home using the techniques learnt. If you wish you can also add hand stitch to your chosen panel. Ideal for those new to free – machine embroidery.
