Description
Make a fabulous free machine stitched parrot on an exotic background. You can choose your own colour palette to create a vibrant mixed media piece. You will transfer an A3 drawing of a parrot onto calico then add washes of acrylic paint onto the print. When dry you will stitch as much detail as you wish using a range of colours, Acrylic paint will be applied to create the details of the beak and face.You will need to bring an A3 piece of patterned fabric to use as a backdrop for your parrot. Flowers, plants and animal prints are ideal. You will trace and sew large leaves to create an environment for your parrot and also stitch abstract shapes onto clear PVC. Small sections of the PVC will be cut away to create a stencil effect.
