Spend a fun day with me designing and stitching a retro wall tile with fabric, paint and stitch.

Description

Design and stitch a retro tile with both free motion foot and decorative hand stitching.  This mixed media course covers a multitude of different processes to include, foiling, quilting, appliqué, paint and print on paper, embossing and decorative bead embellishments. The result will be a five inch square that can then be mounted in a 3-D box frame.

Focus is on colour and texture combinations achieved with a mix of different stitch effects. Participants do require some free machine embroidery experience but great for honing this skill as we will be working small!

All materials are provided within the fee shown.

What a wonderfully relaxing and creative workshop! Thoroughly enjoyed the day designing my own tile, and playing with velvets, paints, stencils, foiling, embossing and embroidery. Just the right size to be able to finish this before leaving. As always, Alex is extremely generous with her own supplies and knowledge and gently guides you through colour choices, sewing and design tips. Great for beginners, you won’t be disappointed.
