I am delighted to welcome Nikki back with her fabulous ‘Black Magic’ two day workshop where she will guide you through working on a fabulously iridescent long panel with her amazing bird, flower and animal motifs.

Description

Use holographic iridescent vinyl, plastics, cellophane, paint and shiny black lycra fabric to produce a stunning wall hanging based on Flora and Fauna. A variety of templates will be provided for you, including birds, butterflies. animals, plants and flowers. You will use a felt pen to trace the images on to plastics then create a series of layers using the materials listed above. You will free machine stitch around your traced lines then add fluorescent paints to create pattern and texture.
You will be provided with a strip of 12 inch x 56 inch piece of black lycra on to which you will stitch your pieces. Create your own unique composition!
Nikki provides the clear plastic PVC, cellophane and paints. Please note full requirements tab.

Requirements:

 

  • Please bring:
  • Full strip of back ground black pvc fabric £3.00 or Half strip £1.50.
  • (If you would rather work with a different type of fabric background please bring this with you.)
  • Holographic vinyl squares £2 each or £1 per half sheet
  • Your lunch,
  • Sewing machine with free motion embroidery foot.
  • Sewing kit including small scissors, pins and a variety of coloured threads including black.
  • Thin black Sharpie pen.
  • Paint brush.
