Lucy will share her process for cutting, layering, bonding and sculpting recycled plastic bags to create expressive flowers, inspired by the colour, form and exuberance of nature. Along the way, we’ll consider how creative reuse can transform an everyday waste material into something joyful, while reflecting on our own connection with the natural world.
These are not ordinary artificial flowers – Lucy’s vibrant recycled blooms have been exhibited twice at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, demonstrating how an overlooked material can be transformed into something with beauty, presence and purpose.
Come and experiment with colour, texture and form, enjoy the simple pleasure of making with your hands, and leave with your own joyful bloom — a little celebration of nature, creativity and the possibilities of reuse.
