Description
Day One: We will look at designing a small picture, with a choice of a hare or bird templates. Lucy will demonstrate how she uses textile paint on linen for the cut outs before composing a balanced composition and attaching all elements.
Day Two: Enjoy a relaxing day of Hand Embroidery, applique and embellishment.
Tutor Brings:
Linen to paint on, Brushes, Paint, flower fabric.
Suitable for all interested in Hand Embroidery and Folk Art
Requirements:
Lunch
Piece of plain cotton for background
6 inch hand embroidery hoop (Lucy will bring some also)
DMC/ Anchor embroidery threads or other hand embroidery yarn. (Lucy will bring some also – and I have lots!)

I am a textile folk artist , using appliqué and embroidery mixed media.
My work is sold and collected around the world. I am a self taught artist after having been a photographer for magazines for many years. I love to use vibrant colours , using paint and embroidery threads.
