‘Indian Tiles’ – A Machine Embroidery Workshop*2025

Combine velvets and free motion embroidery to create a delicate panel for the wall. A great introduction to structural textiles using water soluble fabric.

This is a structured workshop designed to encourage the textile artist to think outside the box and work with material combinations they may not have previously considered.
Participants will create a highly ornate panel with the use of water soluble fabrics combined with appliqued space dyed velvets and decorative cords. Students will dissolve, dry and embellish panel at home but will be shown fully how to mount finished article.
