Something very seasonal and sparkly with Dot!

A collage and hand stitch day. The process begins with the creation of a collage using Sudbury silk in cream, white and blue tones to develop the distant landscape.  Silk painted by me is used to create the foreground and the sky. Hand stitches are used to define the distant landscape and to add densely textured foreground interest.

Stitches covered include: French knots, ( neat and looped) Bullion knots, Chainstitch, Flystitch, Radiating satin stitch, Sateen and light effects yarns are used to add sparkle and sheen. All stitches and stages will be demonstrated.
